Staff
Our local Committee is comprised of local adult volunteers who care about and are committed to Young Life's mission.
They love students and want to support our local area either through leadership, finances, resourcing, hands-on, and/or prayer.
Here are ways to serve:
- Committee (area advisory board of directors)
- Subcommittees (Prayer, Finance, Donor Care, Leader Care, Community Relations, Marketing, Misson Funding, Special Events, Area/School specific
Committee Members' role:
- Help fulfill the vision for reaching every kid for Jesus
- Pray for all facets of the ministry
- Promote Young Life in the community
- Raise funds to support the local budget
- Support and assist Young Life staff and leaders through their unique skills and gifts
- Help staff develop and execute the mission of Young Life East County
- Ensure the integrity of the local ministry. Maintain the continuity of Young life in the area and work with the regional director during staff transitions
- Dedicate a minimum of 2 hours a month to support Young Life depending on your role
- For subcommittee chairs, attend monthly committee meetings

STUDENT DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM (SDP)
A PARTNERSHIP WITH SAN DIEGO CHRISTIAN COLLEGE (SDCC)
A 2-year volunteer and discipleship program earning you up to 12 credits and giving you weekly hands-on ministry experience that includes:
- Mentoring local teenagers
- Developing a community of like-minded peers
- Having fun in the process!
